Storie meravigliose di oggetti comuni

Non ho mai saputo cosa Andrej Tarkovsky pensasse del suo modo di girare un film: osservando il suo modo di fotografare delle scene ho sempre pensato che intendeva fare ritratti, più che sequenze. C’è un qualcosa nella sue scene che lascia attoniti: un bicchiere che vibra al passaggio di un treno, un uomo che apre la finestra nella sua stanza da letto, il lieve ondeggiare dell’erba sull’acqua. Immagini, queste che non hanno niente di speciale (anni dopo una busta che danza spinta dal vento davanti ad un muro di mattoni sarà forse debitrice di questo approccio). Eppure gli oggetti di Tarkovsky hanno una raffinatezza che va al di là del loro immaginario comune: il colore, la composizione della scena, il modo in cui sono lambiti dalla luce, li rendono lirici: è come se li vedessimo per la prima volta e dimenticassimo la loro provenienza a volte banale. Non avremmo mai pensato che un bicchiere potesse essere così affascinante…
Questa introduzione mi è servita per ragionare sul fatto che il nostro passivo catalogare le cose comuni può essere rimesso in gioco. Domino/Consequence racconta frammenti noti, ma prova a farlo con un punto di vista a volte distaccato, a volte naif, in modo che queste appaiano uniche e possano ancora comunicarci qualcosa. Un bel ricordo, o una consapevolezza in più, una disillusione, sono cose che tutti hanno provato: forse la loro unicità è nel modo in cui si raccontano, nel modo in cui le note compongono la scena e accompagnano il discorso. In questa calda domenica romana amo pensare che la diversa intonazione di una stessa parola la rende di nuovo unica e affascinante.
